Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an Educational Aide to support students with disabilities in inclusive and special education settings. You will assist with instructional needs, prepare materials, maintain records, and supervise students under the guidance of a teacher.

The position requires an SBEC Educational Aide Certification, a high school diploma or GED, and an associate degree or two years of higher education preferred. Lifting up to 25 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Associate degree or two years of higher education preferred
• If hired, must complete the SBEC certification process to obtain an Educational Aide Certification
• Ability to work with children with disabilities
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and with frequent interruptions
• Ability to frequently stand, stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs
• Must assume shared responsibility for student and adult health, safety, and confidentiality
• May be required to implement, support, and document behavioral intervention strategies and/or provide school health, related, and personal care services
