Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Long Island, NY is seeking a dedicated Special Education ABA Instructor to deliver pediatric ABA services across homes, clinics and community settings. You will implement individualized therapy plans and engage families to support progress in children up to age 21.

The role offers a flexible schedule, strong clinical supervision, and a supportive team. Competitive compensation with benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS Special Education certifications/licenses as listed in the posting.
• Experience with pediatric therapy and collaborating with families is preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children birth to 21 in natural settings.
• Educate families/caregivers on intervention strategies to support carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings including homes, daycare, preschools, clinics and community sites.
• Follow therapy plans, document progress and prepare progress reports.

Job Responsibilities For a Special Education ABA Instructor

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements For a Special Education ABA Instructor

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• One of the following NYS certifications/licenses:
• Students with Disabilities (Birth 2) Initial or Professional Certification
• Permanent Special Education Certification
• TSHH Permanent Certification
• TSLD Initial or Professional Certification
• NYS Licensed Master Social Worker
• NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: $52.00-58.00

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during theSpecial Education ABA InstructorJob interview process.
