Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Queens, NY is seeking a Special Education ABA Instructor to support children with special needs in home, school, and clinic settings. The role offers a flexible schedule and a chance to work with a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide pediatric therapy services, educate families on intervention strategies, follow individualized plans, and maintain records in a HIPAA-compliant manner. This position in Queens requires NYS certification options listed and a passion for helping

• Follow therapy plan, plan ongoing treatment, address goals, document progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated; maintain records and confidentiality per HIPAA.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education ABA Instructor to join our team! This job is located in Queens, NY. As a Special Education ABA Instructor you can work a flexible schedule that meets your needs and make a difference in the lives of our children and families.

Wage: $56.00-$63.00

Job Responsibilities for a Special Education ABA Instructor

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements for a Special Education ABA Instructor

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• One of the following NYS certifications/licenses:
• Students with Disabilities (Birth 2) Initial or Professional Certification
• Permanent Special Education Certification
• TSHH Permanent Certification
• TSLD Initial or Professional Certification
• NYS Licensed Master Social Worker
• NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: $56.00-$63.00

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Special Education ABA Instructor Job interview process.
