Job summary

Zen Educate is hiring Teacher Aides in Illinois to support licensed staff and students in meeting IEP goals. The role emphasizes a respectful classroom, crisis support, and collaborative learning with individuals and small groups.

The position requires 60+ credits or an associate degree or recognized assessment, one year of related experience, and English proficiency. Visa sponsorship is not provided; weekly schedule is two days, with hours from 7:30 am to 3:00/4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• 60+ credits or associate degree or passing ADE assessment or ParaPro/Praxis exam.
• 1 year experience working with children with special needs
• Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
• US work authorization – Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in the classroom
• Aid students in meeting their IEP goals
• Maintain a conducive classroom environment
• Work with individuals or small groups during activities
• Provide support for students in crisis
