Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator Level III to support students with IEPs at Paint Branch High School. This 7-hour-per-day, 10-month position involves assisting with academic, behavioral, social and medical needs, under supervision of the principal and teaching staff.

Candidates should have at least an associate degree (bachelor's preferred) or equivalent credits, and relevant experience; completion of required training within six months.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred or 48 credits with related experience.
• Minimum credits/experience combinations as described: 2+ years in structured setting.
• ParaPro assessment with qualifying score of 455+ required.
• Ability to support students with IEPs and adapt instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic, behavioral, social and medical needs.
• Support instruction and classroom management; may participate in activities off campus.
• Assist with clerical tasks and use Google Workspace/MS Office for planning.
