Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools in Minneapolis is seeking a Teacher, District Program Facilitator (DPF) for Special Ed Monitoring & Compliance for the 2026-2027 school year at the Davis Center.

The role guides staff on due process compliance with state and federal regulations, analyzes compliance issues, coordinates mediations, and trains SE staff while upholding confidentiality and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota license in school social work, psychology, or special education.
• At least three years in a related public school role.
• Knowledge of Minnesota and Federal education laws and data privacy.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Advise staff on due process compliance with special education laws and regulations.
• Assist with IEP documentation and due process proceedings and disciplinary actions.
• Facilitate communications with staff and families and ensure compliant interpretation of laws.
• Prepare written responses to the Minnesota Department of Education and assist with corrective actions.
• Coordinate conciliation conferences and mediations between the district and families.
• Develop and present training for Special Education staff on legal and compliance issues.
• Monitor case files for compliance and maintain the Due Process Notebook.
• Respond to records requests under FOIA and assist outside counsel as directed.
