Job summary

Outreach Health is seeking a Special Caregiver to provide back-up care for elderly or disabled clients in their homes. You will perform companionship, meal prep, personal care, and safety checks while following company values and privacy laws.

This role requires at least 6 months of caregiving experience or CNA certification, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work weekends or holidays. You will report to the care team and help maintain a safe, respectful home environment.

Job description

As a Special Caregiver for Outreach Health, you are responsible for helping clients that are disabled or elderly by serving as a back-up Caregiver in instances where the permanent caregiver is unable to provide services to the client(s). To ensure the client is properly cared for, you will understand and perform basic safety techniques.

The Special Caregiver is a positive leader and mentor, torchbearer for company values, and will represent Outreach Health with integrity in the community.

The Job:

Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months working experience as a caregiver, or enrolled in a vocational education program, and/or be a certified Nursing Assistant
  • Must pass a criminal background screening
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be flexible to service several different clients a day
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and on weekends and holidays
  • Must comply with applicable healthcare laws and statutes (local, state, and/or federal); e.g., protect patient’s privacy
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and own a legally registered vehicle that holds the minimum liability insurance coverage.
  • Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
