Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide high-quality acute nursing care in a collaborative team environment, supporting rehabilitation of patients recovering from strokes, multi-trauma injuries, burns, and other complex conditions.

With an average length of stay of 2–3 weeks, you’ll have a meaningful opportunity to build relationships and contribute to each patient’s recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Active IA RN license is required for practice.
• BSN preferred but not required.

Position Purpose

Provide high-quality acute nursing care in a collaborative team environment, supporting the rehabilitation of patients recovering from strokes, multi-trauma injuries, burns, and other complex conditions. Deliver both physical and emotional care to patients of all ages as they navigate significant and often permanent lifestyle changes. With an average length of stay of 2–3 weeks, you’ll have a meaningful opportunity to build relationships and make a lasting impact on each patient’s recovery journey.

What you will Do

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients.
• Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs and PCAs.
• Facilitates communication with physicians, families and other team members.

Hours/Schedule

• PRN
• Shifts may vary
• 8 hour shifts on weekdays
• 12 hour shifts on weekends

Minimum Qualifications

• Active IA RN license
• BSN preferred
• No experience required
