MercyOne Northeast Iowa in Waterloo, IA is seeking an RN for an evening shift to deliver high-quality acute nursing care in a collaborative team. The role supports rehabilitation after strokes and complex injuries, with an average stay of 2–3 weeks, enabling meaningful patient relationships and impact on recovery.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, supervise LPNs and PCAs, and coordinate communications with physicians, families, and other team members to ensure seamless care

Qualifications

• Active IA RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• No experience required.

Position Purpose:

Provide high-quality acute nursing care in a collaborative team environment, supporting the rehabilitation of patients recovering from strokes, multi-trauma injuries, burns, and other complex conditions. Deliver both physical and emotional care to patients of all ages as they navigate significant and often permanent lifestyle changes. With an average length of stay of 2–3 weeks, you’ll have a meaningful opportunity to build relationships and make a lasting impact on each patient’s recovery journey.

What you will Do:

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients.

Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs and PCAs.

Facilitates communication with physicians, families and other team members.

Hours/Schedule:

11-7 during the week (8 hours on week days)

7p-7a every third weekend (12 hours on weekends)

Minimum Qualifications:

Active IA RN license

BSN preferred

No experience required
