Job summary

U.S. Secret Service is seeking highly capable individuals to join as Special Agents, combining criminal investigations with protective duties at the highest levels of government.

You will work on diverse assignments across the United States and abroad, receive rigorous training, and serve with integrity and commitment to the nation.

Citizenship, a valid driver's license, REAL ID, and willingness to relocate are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid driver's license and REAL ID compliance.
• Use your official name on your application as it appears on your valid government identification.
• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application; referral up to 40th birthday.
• Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing during employment.
• Obtain a Top-Secret Clearance and retain it during your career.
• Carry and use a firearm with required proficiency; restrictions apply for certain offenses.
• Complete intensive 13-week training at FLETC, Glynco, GA, and 18-week training at Rowley Training Center, MD.
• Sign a mobility agreement to accept assignments nationwide and overseas.
• Certify registration with Selective Service or exemption if male born after 1959.
• Uncorrected vision at least 20/100, correctable to 20/20; LASIK/PRK/ALK/RK rules apply after waiting periods.
• Hearing loss must not exceed 25 dB in the tested frequencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex criminal investigations into financial crimes, including counterfeiting and cyber fraud.
• Provide physical protection for the President, Vice President, their families, visiting dignitaries, and other protectees.
• Design, plan, and implement security measures for National Special Security Events (NSSEs).
