Job summary

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking a Special Agent (GL-09/10) to investigate cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and other national-security matters. Location is U.S. locations with minimum 50 hours weekly, salary $93,749–$133,200 per year, plus locality and availability pay.

Applicants must meet stringent eligibility and fitness criteria and may be assigned to any FBI field office. Position requires U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.
• One year of full-time sworn law enforcement experience with degree, or two years with bachelor's and advanced degree.
• Eligible for Top-Secret SCI clearance.
• Must be able to legally possess a firearm and drive with a valid license.
• Must be at least 23 and under 37 on appointment, with exceptions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws.
• Exercise judgement and versatility to meet investigative demands.
• Coordinate with federal, state, local, tribal, and international agencies.
• Coordinate searches, seizures, and arrests.
• Carry a firearm and be willing to use force, including deadly force if necessary.
• Maintain physical fitness to perform law enforcement duties.
