Job summary

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Chicago seeks a highly analytical Special Agent to protect national security by investigating cyber, fraud, and violent crime threats. This role leverages your mathematics and data expertise to identify patterns, assess risks, and support complex investigations. Candidates must be a U.S.

citizen, eligible for Top Secret SCI clearance, and willing to travel. A bachelor’s degree (preferably in mathematics or related field) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.
• Preferred specialization in mathematics or related field.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret SCI clearance.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
• Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility in meeting investigative demands.
• Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain a level of physical fitness to ensure the readiness required to perform law enforcement duties.
