Job summary

The FBI seeks professionals transitioning from accounting or finance to serve as Special Agents, using sharp analysis to support investigations protecting national security and public safety. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain Top Secret SCI clearance are required.

A bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or a related field is preferred. The salary range is $93,749 to $133,200, with locality pay, comprehensive benefits, and strong career growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or related field from a U.S. accredited college.
• Experience in accounting and finance with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP reporting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, cybersecurity, and public safety.
• Exercise judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility in meeting investigative demands.
• Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
• Maintain a level of physical fitness to ensure the readiness required to perform law enforcement duties.
