Job summary

Talent Wave Associates in Arlington, VA, seeks a vigilant security operations leader for a DoD SAP facility. You will manage day-to-day SAP security, ensure compliance with DoD and customer requirements, and collaborate with ISSMs and program leadership.

Responsibilities include managing nominations, JADE/DISS records, training, inspections, access controls, alarm procedures, and incident investigations, with 100% onsite work and a salary in the $175,000–$200,000 range.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and SAP access
• 5 years of DoD SAP security experience, ideally CPSO or similar
• Hands-on JADE and DISS experience
• Solid knowledge of NISPOM, ICDs, and JSIG
• Security or other DoD 8570 compliant certification
• Bachelor's degree, or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• US citizenship

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day SAP security for a SAPF in line with DoD and customer requirements
• Manage the SAP nomination process, including prescreening, PARs, indoctrinations, and debriefs
• Maintain personnel security records in JADE and DISS
• Write and update Security Operating Procedures, Emergency Action Plans, and the OPSEC plan
• Oversee access control, badging, escort procedures, visitor logs, and inspections
• Manage alarm system (IDS) procedures, alarm response, security containers, and facility safeguards
• Track TS SAP material and media shipping, receiving, and destruction
• Conduct annual self-inspections and prepare for government inspections
• Run initial, courier, and annual refresher security training
• Investigate security incidents and report to PSO and leadership
• Work with ISSM/ISSO to protect classified systems

Are you ready to lead security operations for a high-visibility Special Access Program facility while working directly with government security leadership?

About the Role

This role involves managing the day-to-day security operations for a Department of Defense Special Access Program facility. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with DoD and customer security requirements, contributing significantly to the security posture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day SAP security for a SAPF in line with DoD and customer requirements.
• Manage the SAP nomination process, including prescreening, Program Access Requests (PARs), indoctrinations, and debriefs.
• Maintain personnel security records in JADE and DISS.
• Write and update Security Operating Procedures, Emergency Action Plans, and the OPSEC plan.
• Oversee access control, badging, escort procedures, visitor logs, and entry and exit inspections.
• Manage alarm system (IDS) procedures, alarm response, security containers, and facility safeguards.
• Keep track of TS SAP material and media, including shipping, receiving, and destruction.
• Conduct annual self-inspections, prepare for government inspections, and track corrective actions.
• Run initial, courier, and annual refresher security training.
• Investigate security incidents and possible compromises, and report to the Program Security Officer and program leadership.
• Work with the ISSM and ISSOs to protect classified systems.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to keep SAP access.
• 5 years of DoD SAP security experience, ideally as a CPSO or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with JADE and DISS.
• Solid working knowledge of NISPOM, the ICDs, and JSIG.
• Security or another DoD 8570 compliant certification.
• Bachelor's degree, or 10 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
• US citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• SFPC, SPSC, or other CDSE SPēD certifications.
• Experience preparing a facility for government security inspections.
