Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a team member to provide excellent customer service while performing services at Yale New Haven Hospital, Saint Raphael Campus. The role involves inventory, delivery, and coordination of equipment with a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 3:30PM–12:00AM).

Required: high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills; hospital experience preferred. BMI is not required; the company emphasizes safety and compliance in all tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• General computer knowledge with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet preferred.
• Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and maneuver medical products within healthcare facilities using proper processes and safety techniques.
• Manage inventory, delivery, retrieval, and coordination of equipment.
• Maintain facilities and products properly and using safe practices.
• Assist with tracking assets due for preventative maintenance.
• Complete day-to-day activities as assigned.
• Identify equipment problems and report to management or Asset Coordinator.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and compliance.
• Complete required safety and compliance training modules on time.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment with 5S activities.
• Identify and correct safety concerns as needed.
• Lift and carry up to 65 pounds using safe procedures.
• Communicate effectively with company and customer management/personnel.
• Manage time to meet customer satisfaction goals.
• Work 2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30PM – 12:00AM.

What you'll be doing

• Ability to move and maneuver medical products within healthcare facilities unassisted using appropriate processes and safety techniques.
• Responsible for inventory, delivery, retrieval, and coordination of equipment.
• Proper utilization and maintenance of facilities and product being managed.
• Assist with tracking and pulling assets due for preventative maintenance.
• Responsible for the completion of day-to-day activities assigned.
• Identify and communicate equipment problems to management or Asset Coordinator.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety awareness and compliance.
• Successfully complete all required safety and compliance learning modules on a timely basis.
• Sustain a clean and safe work environment, including 5S activities.
• Identify safety concerns and correct as necessary.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds using appropriate processes, including proper safety and ergonomic procedures.
• Effective and professional communication with company and customer management/personnel.
• Effective time management decisions to meet customer satisfaction issues.
• Ability to work 2nd Shift schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:30PM – 12:00AM.

What you'll bring

• Ability to follow company and site requirements on personal protective equipment (i.e. gloves, safety shoes, glasses, etc.)
• Ability to perform work duties with limited supervision.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel 6-8 hours per shift, push/pull and lift a minimum of 60 lbs.

The rate for this position is between $17 - $18 per hour.
