Job summary

Valley Children's Healthcare in California is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, inspect, assemble, disinfect, and sterilize instrumentation and medical devices, including flexible endoscopes, for hospital use.

You will accurately enter data in the instrument tracking system and follow departmental policies and regulatory requirements; there may be opportunities to take a lead role.

Job Summary

Responsible for accurately entering data into an instrument tracking system. Follows departmental policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. May assume lead role.

Education

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)

Licenses and Certifications

• CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician - HSPA - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (required)
• CBSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (required)
• CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution (required)

Work Experience

• Minimum two (2) years Sterile processing experience. (preferred)

Skills And Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of instrumentation and medical devices.
• Computer Skills Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills.
