Methodist Hospitals in Gary, Indiana, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician responsible for decontaminating, washing, and sterilizing sterile instruments and supplies used throughout the hospital. You will set up instruments for Operating Room surgery and ensure compliance with infection control procedures.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of surgical instruments, a high school diploma, and a certificate in sterile processing. A commitment to maintaining compliance with healthcare standards is essential.
Under direction, to perform work involving the decontamination, washing, processing and sterilizing of all sterile instruments, equipment and supplies used throughout the hospital system. Sets up and assembles all instruments and supplies for Operating Room surgery case carts and for use in other departments.
