Job summary

TOTUS LINGUA is seeking a Part-Time Spanish Teacher for PreK-8 students in Chicago, IL. You will create engaging Spanish lessons, foster language appreciation, and adapt to diverse learning styles in a supportive setting.

The ideal candidate has a strong command of Spanish and English, a relevant degree, and a passion for language education. This role is on-site in Chicago with a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or related field preferred.
• Previous teaching experience with PreK-8 students is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative lesson plans for diverse learners.
• Facilitate engaging classroom activities to promote language acquisition and culture.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or related field preferred.
• Previous teaching experience, particularly with PreK-8 students, is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for teaching and fostering a love for languages in young learners.
• Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods.
• Current teaching certification or license in the state of Illinois is a plus.
