Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking a Spanish Teacher at Lincoln Park Academy in Cleveland, Ohio to deliver engaging lessons and foster a positive, inclusive classroom where every student can succeed.

The ideal candidate will differentiate instruction, manage diverse learners, and partner with families, colleagues, and school leaders to support character education, social-emotional learning, and technology-enhanced instruction.

Qualifications

• Active and current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Growth-focused coaching through observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria).
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working within an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
• Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
