Job Location: Lago Vista High School, Lago Vista, Texas

Summary

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to high school students in a dynamic classroom setting.
• Prepare and deliver lesson plans aligned with state curriculum standards.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Coach athletic teams or extracurricular groups as determined by the school (specific coaching duties to be determined).
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Appropriate Texas teacher certification (or eligible under the District of Innovation exemption with required training).
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to coach teams or mentor students in extracurricular activities.
• Experience with digital learning tools beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: Competitive, based on LVISD Salary Schedule/Compensation Plan and experience.

Benefits: TRS Active-Care — The District pays $445 per month toward employee health insurance premiums; vision and dental offered; cafeteria plan available.
