Job summary

Lango is seeking fluent Spanish interpreters to provide interpreting services as independent contractors for in-person appointments in the Greater Cincinnati area. You can serve the community by helping students in schools or patients in hospitals, breaking down barriers and improving access to services.

Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, able to pass a language test if no interpreter training is shown, have US i-9 work authorization, and at least a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• If you do not have proof of professional interpreter training, you will be required to pass a language test.
• Must have US i-9 work authorization.
• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to provide a background check and drug test.
• Willing to provide MMR, Varicella, Covid, and Flu vaccination records if interested in medical interpreting.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services for in-person appointments across medical, educational, and other settings.
• Assist students in schools or patients in hospitals by interpreting between English and Spanish.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant privacy and security requirements.

Requirements

• Must be fluently bilingual in English and at Spanish.
