Voices Boston is looking for a dedicated Spanish Language Instructor to teach at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. This role involves conducting engaging and interactive classes for students of all backgrounds, focusing on practical language use and cultural topics.
The ideal candidate should have previous teaching experience, knowledge of Hispanic literature and culture, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. Instructors will receive a competitive hourly wage starting at $25, along with the opportunity to take a free class each term.
Cambridge Center for Adult Education (CCAE) is a nonprofit organization with an annual operating budget of $2.5 million and a staff of 15 full‑time staff. We run nearly 2,000 classes over 4 terms, taught by over 200 professionals who are experts in their fields. CCAE owns and operates two historically preserved properties in vibrant Harvard Square.
CCAE is seeking a talented, engaged, and experienced Spanish Language instructor. CCAE offers 15 different World Languages in a friendly group setting with students from all backgrounds. Our classes empower students to use languages confidently with plenty of opportunities for practice, participation, and cultural encounters.
CCAE offers weekly classes for every level of proficiency in Spanish, including both integrated skills and conversation classes. For our more proficient language learners, we also offer classes with cultural content (literature, music, film, visual art, history) in Spanish. We use the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) to guide our language programs.
This instructor will teach in-person at CCAE in the evenings.
Hourly rate begins at $25+/hr, commensurate with experience. Instructors can also take one free class per term (up to $300).
