Job summary

Qualis LLC seeks a Propulsion Test Engineer (PTE) to support senior engineers in designing tests, conducting operations, and maintaining configuration control for the Propulsion Test Branch at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. You will review requirements, develop activation procedures, and analyze test data for cryogenic and ambient propellant systems and related support equipment.

The role involves collaboration with civil servants and contractors, participation in design and test readiness

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; ABET-accredited preferred; typically a BS with 0–5 years experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of fluids and fluid dynamics; gas dynamics.
• Familiarity with OSHA/ANSI standards; welding and structural components.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, set up, and perform propulsion and structural testing on flight qualification hardware and related mission-critical hardware.
• Participate in safety, task, design, and test readiness reviews to support requirements.
• Develop and deliver reports and presentations to support requirements via PowerPoint and other formats.
• Perform safety and certification training to support requirements.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure successful test execution and data review.
