Job summary

Space Tango is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer to join our engineering team in Lexington, KY. This role focuses on hands-on assembly, fixture development, instrumentation, and data analysis to transform concepts into reliable flight hardware.

Travel may be required for launches, customer activities, and partner integrations. A degree in mechanical engineering and experience with CAD/SolidWorks, testing, and documentation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience assembling, troubleshooting, testing, or supporting mechanical/electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Experience using common mechanical tools and measurement equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
• Ability to document results and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute mechanical, functional, environmental, and integration testing.
• Assemble, configure, and operate test articles and supporting equipment.
• Set up and operate test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Design, fabricate, and improve test fixtures and tooling.
• Collect and analyze test data and communicate findings to design engineers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and system-level issues and validate design changes.
• Develop and improve test plans, procedures, and verification documentation.
• Support payload integration and launch preparation.
• Maintain organized test records and improve test processes.
