Job summary

Rocket Lab in Silver Spring, Maryland, seeks an Environmental Test Technician III to support testing of spaceflight hardware, including separation systems and deployables. You will perform environmental tests, operate test fixtures, and help with bench setup while working both independently and with a team on challenging missions.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 5+ years in aerospace environmental testing, with basic electronics knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of aerospace environmental testing experience.
• Understanding basic electronic circuitry.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental testing of aerospace mechanisms using established procedures.
• Operate spaceflight hardware and test fixtures with data acquisition systems.
• Attach and remove components on spaceflight hardware.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components after tests.
• Maintain test fixtures and support equipment.
• Suggest process improvements.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations.
