Job summary

Blue Origin’s Honeybee Robotics team in Southern California seeks a skilled technician for production and testing of electrical assemblies, PCBA work, and harness fabrication in a fast-paced lab environment.

You will ensure quality through reading engineering drawings, maintaining lab equipment, and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing to produce precise fabrication instructions. Strong attention to detail is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5+ years in engineering or electronic assembly.
• General knowledge of electronics test equipment: Oscilloscope, DMM, Function Generator, etc.
• Hands-on with IPC J STD-001, NASA STD 8739.4 harnesses, NASA STD 8739.1 polymers.

Responsibilities

• Soldering and PCBA assembly and rework.
• Fabrication of cable harnesses per NASA standards.
• Interpret electrical drawings to create fabrication work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineering/manufacturing to ensure clarity of instructions.
• Ownership and support of electronics test lab and equipment.
• Board and system test and debug.
• Electronics test support: EMI/EMC, Vibration, Thermal.
• Test set development.
• Operate metal fabrication machinery (mills, lathes, laser cutters).
• Support engineering projects.
