Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering or related field.
- 2+ years in test automation, controls, or industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with EtherCAT, Modbus, RS-232/485.
- Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or eagerness to develop expertise.
- Comfort across control software, electrical panels, wiring cabinets, and debugging hardware.
- Thrives in fast-paced startup environments with end-to-end ownership.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain test systems and GSE for flight hardware qualification.
- Integrate with thermal vacuum chambers, ovens, chillers, and data acquisition hardware.
- Develop Varda's PLC framework and EtherCAT tooling.
- Contribute to architecture decisions on real-time control implementations.
- Build cabinets, wire panels, and own end-to-end system commissioning.
- Collaborate with propulsion, avionics, GNC, and manufacturing teams.
