Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Vehicle Integration Technician to assemble the Alpha Launch vehicle with attention to design intent and quality. Travel to launch sites will be required to support integration and testing.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in complex assemblies (aviation/automotive), proficiency with pneumatic and hand tools, and willingness to travel up to 30%. A&P license preferred; military aircraft experience highly desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with complex assemblies in aviation/automotive contexts.
• Proficient with pneumatic, hand, power tools and precision measurement instruments.
• Proven experience with complex assemblies and troubleshooting.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.
• A&P license preferred.
• Military aircraft maintenance experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Follow complex assembly procedures and work instructions.
• Execute integration processes.
• Safely operate high pressure pneumatic, cryogenic, and fuel systems.
• Stage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardware.
• Utilize necessary tooling and fixturing.
• Follow complex planning instructions for assembly and integration of all vehicle subsystems.
• Communicate effectively with engineers and teammates.
• Identify discrepancies between design and manufacture/assembly and resolve them.
• Support engineering in defining manufacturability, producibility, and assembly of design using industry standard parts and products.
