Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a motivated Thermal Engineer to support the Spacecraft Development Program managers and Chief Systems Engineer. You will develop and analyze thermal configurations, build subsystem models, and help with verification testing to ensure safe, reliable thermal performance across mission life. This role includes collaboration with program teams and customers.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials Sciences.
• 1+ years of experience in design, development, analysis, testing, or operation of spacecraft thermal systems or related thermal systems.
• 1+ years of experience with thermal analysis tools (Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT, Thermica).

Responsibilities

• Perform spacecraft thermal design and analyses at the board, component, subsystem, and system level.
• Develop thermal models to predict loads, impacts, and temperature margins.
• Brief design and analysis materials to program managers, customers, and sponsors.
• Identify materials, processes, and facilities to achieve a qualified spacecraft thermal design and operation.
• Support thermal verification testing on spacecraft systems and components including test design, conduct, data reduction, analysis, and reporting.
• Assist in proposal and business development efforts.
