Job summary

Terran Orbital Corporation is seeking an experienced Spacecraft Thermal Engineer (associate or engineer level) to design, analyze, and verify thermal systems for spacecraft. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to translate CONOPS into robust thermal designs and support testing campaigns, with opportunities for leadership on a small team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a thermal focus, hands-on thermal modeling, and proficiency in Thermal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a thermal focus.
• Experience in thermal analysis for spacecraft systems.
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Reduce thermal risk by identifying constraining elements and mitigation strategies.
• Translate CONOPS into thermal design scenarios with engineers.
• Develop thermal models for active and passive designs; verify with tests.
• Develop verification test plans and monitor test results vs. models.
• Prepare technical documents and presentations for management and customers.
• Support business development with proposals and white papers.
