Job summary

Astro Digital in San Jose is seeking a Spacecraft Test Engineer to join the Test team. You will design test plans, automate tests, analyze data, and document results to support mission success.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of test experience, an engineering degree, and proficiency with Linux and test equipment. You will collaborate across engineering and project management to ensure safe, reliable spacecraft testing.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum test experience with a complex system.
• B.S. or M.S. in engineering or related field.
• Ability to understand and follow system documentation.
• Desire to solve problems collaboratively.
• Experience with Linux and test automation.
• Experience with hardware test on complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Write system test plans.
• Perform and automate tests and test data analysis for spacecraft.
• Analyze and present feedback on the process and results.
• Ensure test plans meet system requirements and mission characteristics.
• Troubleshoot anomalous test results, identify, and help track defects.
• Apply diligence to promote production efficiency, mission objectives, and above all, hardware, and personnel safety.
• Continually seek out ways to improve.
