Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Spacecraft Software and Data Visualization Systems Engineer in El Segundo, CA. You will lead data visualization, analytics and AI/ML-driven insights for space systems, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to validate and operationalize model outputs.

The role requires a top-tier technical background, a security clearance, and extensive experience with visualization tools and large datasets in space programs. On-site, with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field (engineering, math, physics, software, or CS).
• 10+ years in data visualization, analytics, software engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years in space systems (SATCOM, NASA).
• Experience building dashboards and visual analytics solutions.
• Experience with large, complex datasets in operational/engineering environments.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analytics frameworks.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for ESS Program Office in space vehicle delivery.
• Lead trades for unit and subsystem designs, integration and testing.
• Ensure design interfaces within space vehicle and ground/terminal segments.
• Support component and unit test programs, including space qualification testing.
• Develop test plans and reports; maintain validation and communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize ML outputs.
• Develop user-facing analytics for engineers and operators.
