Job summary

Quantum Space is redefining space mobility with high-mobility spacecraft platforms. We seek a Senior Engineer III or Principal Engineer IV to lead propulsion systems development for Ranger missions, guiding architecture, development, testing, and flight operations.

You will drive propulsion trade studies, lead multidisciplinary teams, and own critical hardware programs from concept to flight qualification, enabling national security and civil space missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant aerospace or propulsion engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams through major project milestones.
• Experience leading low- to medium-complexity propulsion or spacecraft development efforts.
• Strong engineering judgment and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing technical schedules, program execution, and engineering priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of propellant tanks or spacecraft propulsion systems from concept through flight qualification and mission operations.
• Provide technical leadership across design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, integration, and flight support teams.
• Mentor and develop engineers across multiple disciplines while promoting best practices.
• Drive technical programs, risk reduction, development planning, and technology roadmaps.
• Support customer engagements, design reviews, and program reviews.
