Job description

We are seeking a Spacecraft Program Manager to support the development, production, and delivery of small satellite missions. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical expertise in satellite systems, and a proven track record in managing complex aerospace projects from conception to completion. This role will require collaboration with cross‑functional teams, customers, and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of small satellite missions that meet the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to delivery to the launch service provider.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment across engineering, production, integration, software, and other relevant departments.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address issues and risks.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and risks to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Conduct customer meetings and reviews in support of decision‑making processes and alignment, and support for project goals.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize satellite design and performance.
  • Support regulatory agency application processes.
  • Identify, assess, and manage program risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support business development efforts with estimated project budgets, schedules, risk assessment, and resource predictions.
  • Secure necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software, or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role, with a focus on small satellite missions.
  • Understanding of end‑to‑end satellite programs from award to launch.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft assembly, integration, and test activities.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross‑functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to satellite systems and space missions.
Additional Considerations
  • Ability to travel as needed to support project activities, including meetings with customers, partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Eligibility to work on USG projects and obtain any necessary security clearances.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a bonus.
Position Levels, Experience, & Salary Range
  • Deputy PM: 0‑2 years of PM Experience, 5‑10 years Overall Experience, Salary Range $100k‑$130k
  • Program Manager: 2‑5 years of PM Experience, 8‑15 years Overall Experience, Salary Range $120k‑$160k
  • PM Senior: 5+ years of PM Experience, 10+ years Overall Experience, Salary Range $150k‑$200k

  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Location: Littleton, CO (minimum 3‑4 days/week in office)
