Acara Solutions is seeking a Spacecraft Mission Operations Engineer III in Cedar Park, TX, onsite. The role focuses on developing and executing longduration spacecraft operations, building scalable ground and flight operations frameworks, and leading mission execution efforts.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of aerospace operations experience, proven leadership in mission phases, and strong skills in ground systems and data processing tools to support high‑reliability space missions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional aerospace experience supporting spacecraft operations or mission lifecycle programs.
• 3+ years of experience leading mission operations phases, campaigns, or longduration operations.
• 3+ years of experience developing ground systems, simulation environments, or operational frameworks.
• Experience working with mission data processing tools, automation, or spacecraft operations software.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support crossfunctional technical teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage spacecraft ground systems, operational concepts, and interface documentation
• Lead development of flight operations products, including procedures, automation strategies, and command frameworks
• Oversee simulation campaigns, mission rehearsals, and operator training programs
• Support and lead spacecraft mission execution, anomaly response, and maneuver operations
• Collaborate with engineering, mission management, and payload teams to ensure safe and scalable operations
