Job summary

Rocket Lab's Space Systems team in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer I. You will develop, test, and deploy flight spacecraft systems and support test hardware and environments.

The role involves cross-team collaboration for requirements, verification plans, and flight software configuration changes. The position requires a engineering degree and aerospace experience; US citizenship is required for program access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, aerospace, or related engineering field.
• US citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• Experience as a test engineer or hands-on engineering role in aerospace.
• Proficiency with C, C++, Python, or MATLAB; Windows 10 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own integration and test campaigns at various spacecraft development levels.
• Define system requirements and verification/validation plans with teammates.
• Develop acceptance, qualification, and R&D test plans for spacecraft systems.
• Develop, maintain, and operate environmental test systems (Vibe, TVAC, Thermal, EMI).
• Maintain ground support equipment and facilities for tests.
• Interface with ground test software and implement flight software changes.
• Lead investigations into anomalous vehicle behavior.
• Interface with hardware-in-the-loop test systems.
