Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL seeks a Quality Inspector to verify workmanship, dimensions, and documentation against drawings and plans for spacecraft assembly. You will inspect mechanical final assemblies, monitor QA processes, and generate non-conforming documentation while supporting other areas of Quality.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Interpret product specifications and drawings/blueprints.
• Able to use calibrated inspection equipment to validate dimensions or features.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Must be a US Citizen and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance (Secret).

Responsibilities

• Inspect product from production, received from suppliers or other LM sites to validate workmanship, dimensions and documentation.
• Disposition parts for test or outside inspections based on inspection plans or program requirements.
• Reject and generate non-conforming documentation for hardware that does not meet product specifications or requirements.
• Train/Support other areas of Quality.
• Other tasks as assigned.
