Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks an engineer with strong expertise in thermal and thermal-fluid systems across space, air, ground, and maritime domains. You will lead design, analysis, development, integration, and testing of complex prototypes, using tools from first-order methods to high-fidelity CFD/FEA to inform design decisions.

Applicants should have a PhD or Master's with extensive experience, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and mentor early-career engineers.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with numerical tools for thermal-fluid systems across electronics and spacecraft.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, analysis, development, integration, and testing of complex prototypes across programs.
  • Apply analytical methods and high-fidelity simulations to guide design decisions.
  • Own hardware assembly, integration, and hands-on test planning and execution.
  • Communicate results effectively to diverse audiences.
