Atec Space Systems Technician team in the United States is responsible for spaceflight hardware fabrication, assembly and test, bridging engineering drawings, work instructions and test knowledge. The role involves collaboration with engineering, production, quality, operations and suppliers to ensure precise, spaceflight‑critical workmanship.
Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and a readiness to perform precision assembly, wiring and testing
The Space Systems Technician team is positioned within the larger Atec Space Systems organization. As one of its members, you will help perform the fabrication, assembly, and test of spaceflight hardware. This position requires someone with a dynamic mindset who can navigate between fine details and the big picture with a breadth of assembly, engineering drawing, work instruction, and test knowledge. It also requires working with a number of internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, production, quality, operations, and suppliers.
Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
