Job summary

Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE) seeks an experienced Software Engineer to develop flight-software‑representative applications and ground-station software for the US Space Force.

You will work in a hardware-in-the-loop flat-satellite test configuration, contributing across requirements interpretation, architecture, implementation, integration, automated testing, and system troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience developing software in C/C++.
• Experience with Python and Linux environments.
• Experience applying software engineering and project tools (CI/CD pipelines, configuration control).
• Experience with software testing and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Desired experience with NASA Core Flight System (cFS) and RTOS.
• Experience with test harness development and embedded communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight-software‑representative applications and ground-station software.
• Participate in hardware‑in‑the‑loop flat‑satellite test configurations.
• Contribute across the software lifecycle: requirements interpretation, architecture, implementation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Develop high‑reliability C software with supplemental C++ and Python for tooling and automation.
• Report progress to the software lead and work within an Agile environment focused on mission readiness.
