Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Typically 15+ years of related experience.
• Expertise in multiple programming languages and software development principles.
• Ability to design, architect, and implement complex software systems.
• Strong leadership to lead a team of engineers.
• Ability to make high-level design decisions.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum/Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software applications for space systems and technologies, writing clean, maintainable code.
• Architect and implement complex software systems to meet project requirements and collaborate with team members.
• Manage code changes with Git and work collaboratively with the team.
• Lead code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and document configurations and procedures.
• Stay current with industry trends in software development and space technologies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to the engineering team.
• Make high-level design decisions impacting cost, schedule, and performance; drive strategic direction.
• Oversee technical aspects of large-scale projects and adopt new technologies and methodologies.
