Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) offers an internship program in North Logan, UT, providing hands-on work on MOSA-based interface validation and MOSA standards alignment for a cloud-based enterprise ground system supporting dynamic space operations.

Selected interns will work with experienced engineers, receive training workshops, and have opportunities for continued employment or transition to full‑time roles requiring security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Introductory knowledge of systems engineering, system interfaces, or technical standards.
• Ability to read and compare engineering specifications, diagrams, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize findings in spreadsheets or structured documents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other interns and independently with guidance.
• Strong initiative, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review program interfaces and ICDs for completeness, consistency, and clarity.
• Map interface descriptions to MOSA principles and program standards.
• Create checklists and traceability tables for interface requirements and data definitions.
• Identify ambiguities or mismatches across interface artifacts for engineer review.
• Document recommendations and present findings to systems engineering and integration teams.
