Job summary

HawkEye360 is seeking 2027 Summer Interns on the Space Team to design, build, and test small satellites delivering RF geospatial analytics. You will work hands-on with our engineering team to contribute to design, manufacturing, test, and operations of our spacecraft.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in CS, EE, ME, aerospace, or related field.
• Experience solving engineering problems outside class (internships, projects, research).
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or Matlab.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in-person in Herndon, VA for the 10–12 week internship.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.
• Desirable: experience with lab hardware and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Learn from the engineering team and apply knowledge to real-world problems.
• Contribute to spacecraft flight software, electrical hardware design, integration, and test, or modeling and simulation.
• Verify, document, and communicate the results of your work.
