KBR, Inc. is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to support the AFRL/RJ in Colorado Springs, CO, working on space defense systems and MBSE activities.

The role involves modeling, analysis, and integration across multidisciplinary teams to meet stringent cost, schedule, mass, and mission constraints. Primary requirements include a Bachelor’s in engineering/science, 2+ years in systems engineering, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math or Science.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts.
• Cross-functional planning, coordination and task execution experience.
• Hands-on technical drive and accountability.
• Collaborate with diverse skill sets and backgrounds.
• High motivation, creativity, and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communicator.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and extending system models from requirements and interfaces.
• Enable mission-level modeling, simulation and analysis using MBSE.
• Assist in system-level integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Develop and analyze digital models for Space Vehicles and missions.
• Document methodologies to model, simulate, and analyze conceptual challenges.
• Communicate insights from analytical models to senior leadership and customers.
• Collaborate with organizations to obtain data and ensure results align with analytic community.
• Demonstrate technical ownership and accountability.
• Provide MBSE and SysML/UML support to the MSA studies team.
