Job summary

Starpath develops technologies to enable life on the Moon and Mars. The Space Solar Power team designs and manufactures high-performance space solar solutions that will power satellites and planetary assets.

The Power Electronics Engineer will lead design, qualification, and production of high voltage power conversion for space solar arrays, ensuring reliability in harsh space environments and coordinating with cross-functional teams for rapid hardware iteration.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience building, testing, and debugging PCBAs.
• Ability to learn quickly to meet project requirements.
• Desire to contribute to multi-planet human exploration goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and bring up high voltage power conversion for array conditioning.
• Flow down system requirements and perform trade studies from topology to layout.
• Prototype hardware, test, and iterate on rapid timelines.
• Select manufacturing methods for low-cost scalability.
• Package hardware into mechanical systems and ensure space-grade reliability.
• Oversee hazardous high voltage testing.
