Job description

In this role, you will architect and deliver software systems for space robotics - spanning satellites, spacecraft, robotic arms, and drones - for clients operating at the frontier of the space industry. You will shape technical strategy from early requirements through space-qualified product launch, engage clients at the executive level, and drive innovation across both flight and ground systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and own end-to-end software architecture for space robotics systems, covering flight software, ground systems, and simulation environments
  • Develop production-ready and prototype solutions for diverse space platforms including mobile robots, robotic arms, and autonomous spacecraft
  • Define verification, validation, and integration strategies for flight software, ensuring reliability in safety-critical and space-qualified environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and clients to translate mission requirements into robust, real-time embedded software architectures
  • Build and validate high-fidelity simulations using tools such as Isaac Sim, NVIDIA Omniverse, or MATLAB to support development and testing workflows
  • Implement and oversee Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) testing at component, functional, and system levels to accelerate delivery and reduce mission risk
  • Research emerging trends in space robotics - navigation, sensing, autonomy, and decision-making - and apply modern approaches to active engagements
  • Lead pre-sales activities including technical workshops, architecture presentations, and C-level client engagements
REQUIREMENTS
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing application software for flight and ground systems, including satellite or spacecraft software delivered to production
  • Strong command of C/C++ and Python for embedded Linux systems, with experience implementing real-time software solutions on spacecraft or autonomous platforms
  • Solid experience with verification, validation, and integration of flight software across the full development lifecycle - from requirements through space-qualified launch
  • Experience with robotics simulation tools such as Isaac Sim, NVIDIA Omniverse, Gazebo, or equivalent platforms; familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink in an aerospace context
  • Knowledge of spacecraft communication protocols and standards such as CCSDS, CAN, or SpaceWire
  • Experience with autonomous systems software - spacecraft and satellites preferred; UAVs or self-driving systems also considered
  • Proven ability to design software architectures and implement efficient algorithms for complex, resource-constrained embedded environments
  • Strong analytical and mathematical foundation, with sharp attention to detail and a problem-solving approach to ambiguous, high-stakes challenges
  • Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to lead technical workshops, deliver architecture presentations, and engage senior client stakeholders
