Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) may substitute for 2 years.
• Experience in environmental tests (vibration, shock, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum).
• Experience in assembling/testing hardware for space or airborne environments.
• Proficiency in writing test documentation (plans, procedures, reports).
• Experience with stage-gate reviews (CDR, TRR) and interfacing with stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience in space, small satellites, and RF systems.
• Leadership and mentoring of junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Execute, develop and manage comprehensive test plans for flight hardware.
• Define test requirements and verification methods with Systems Engineering.
• Interface with stakeholders to negotiate test requirements and plans.
• Represent Test Engineering at program milestones and report status.
• Identify testing methods and design fixtures for risk mitigation.
• Plan and execute environmental testing (vibration, thermal, vacuum, etc.).
• Develop in-house test capabilities and collaborate across groups.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful test execution.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
