Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Test Engineering Intern for its on-site program in Mississippi, beginning in May or June 2027. You will learn Archimedes Engine test operations, assist with engine rebuilds, and support test readiness, collaborating with propulsion teams to enable launch readiness.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering degree with a GPA of 3.0+, have 3+ months of applied engineering experience, and can work full-time on-site for at least 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree in an engineering discipline with at least one semester left after internship
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, lab or project)

Responsibilities

• Work with mentor and team to apply engineering concepts to real challenges
• Support engine rebuilds, test readiness, and hardware swaps
• Attend regular 1:1s with mentors to track progress and growth
• Engage in tech talks and network with interns and staff
