Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Program Manager I based in Albuquerque, NM to lead full lifecycle program management for Space Systems initiatives. You will serve as the primary customer contact, drive planning, execution, and closeout, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to specifications across engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams.

The role requires strong program management experience, budgeting and forecasting capabilities, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in project/program management with large cross-functional projects.
• Experience in energy project management or EPC contracts is a plus.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and revenue forecasting.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal point of contact for customers.
• Manage the entire program lifecycle from definition to closeout.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specs.
• Define tasks and schedules with manufacturing and provide budgets.
• Interface with management to allocate resources and meet program cost targets.
• Monitor program performance and provide executive updates.
• Identify risks and implement effective mitigation.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, QA.
