Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Production Planner I to manage work orders, coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and Finance, and ensure on-time execution of the build schedule.

You will release work orders, manage kit requests to Inventory, and maintain accurate material visibility while expediting subassemblies to support integration timelines. Strong data management and MRP proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Clear build reviews performed and materials expedited through production.
• Knowledge of master data management, batch processing and issue ticket disposition.
• Proficient in MRP systems and in MS Office/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supply and fulfilment planning within MRP for Production work orders.
• Releasing work orders to Production and kit requests to Inventory.
• Create visibility of material position via line-of-balance and shortage reports.
• Support prioritization and expediting subassemblies to meet integration timelines.
• Ensure accurate part master data within MRP for Production parts.
• Understand material demand and configuration accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve company-wide goals.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
